Description

Proceeding from the church's glorious history and emphasizing its path full of service and giving as the Best Sudanese national church that is administratively independent and economically self-reliant, it was established locally in the Nuba Mountains in 1920 by the missionaries of the Sudan United Mission (SUN) with the participation of the blessed local servants.

In continuation of those efforts, the Church has grown and developed [spiritually, administratively, economically and socially] and spread inside and outside Sudan. The church celebrated its diamond jubilee for the passage of 100 years since its founding Through this, the church's position, history, service and achievements were introduced. Our belief in the growing role and great responsibility of the church in all fields and in various circumstances and stages had to evaluate and review its path after such a long period in order to develop an insightful vision and draw a map The way for it to be able to play its active role in the development and renaissance of itself and the service of society in general in light of this and with the tremendous efforts of the Preparatory Committee, a workshop was held to set the church's strategy a century after its founding to answer the central question What after the 100 years?.

This was attended by more than 80 servants representing the four districts [North Mountains - Middle South Mountains Southern Sudan) that make up the church couned in the New Sudan, including pastors, evangelists, elders, deacons, women's representatives, youth and Sunday school teachers From 22-26 March 2022 in Heban locality (first mission), valuable and basic lectures and working papers were presented and facilitated by qualified servants and lecturers. After serious deliberations, constructive discussions and active participation on all the topics and issues raised, the following outputs were reached.

First: Origin and Development of SCOC 1. The participants agreed on the necessity of writing the history of the church in a comprehensive and scientific manner so that it can be used in communicating generations in the church and introducing it and its glorious history and planning its programs accordingly. 2. The Church was established by the missionaries [SUM] who entered the Nuba Mountains with the help of the zealous and volunteer sons of the Church. Women had an active role in the establishment and development of the Church
